My Beach House Quilt

I like the colors of this line and the fabric's are just
so cute!
I think the fish design is my favorite
and the lobsters are cute too
shells
and waves
and I had some left over crab fabric that I though
looked perfect for this quilt

Its an oversized queen (100 wide)
and I think it looks perfect on the bed.
I love patchwork quilts and straight line quilting!

Pillows

My two sisters both have birthdays in November and just three days apart. This year I saw this  cute embroidery design and decided to make them both a pillow.

this is the first time I have made piping and probably
will be the last haha!
well it was pretty easy to make -- but apply to a pillow ? not so much.

this one is a little more on the simple side
but I think it is my favorite
I had fun making both of them and they were
really easy to put together
now to find some goodies to go along with them

I hope you are having a fun day doing the things you like!

Quilts from Last Summer

Here are some pictures of the grandkids making their quilts last summer. We were in such a hurry
that I didn't get a picture of their final quilt so I snapped a picture when I took the AH quilt over.

Here is Mara long arm quilting her finished top

this is her first quilt that she has made

she wanted to make a Paris quilt
and she did so well with this one!!
I think it is beautiful!

and this is Madison with her wonder woman quilt
this is the second quilt she has made

It turned out beautifully too!!

I had a fun time with the two girls and look forward to
more sewing time with them!!
I hope you are having a fun weekend!

Another Finish

Here is another quilt that was long overdue to be finished

I am really happy with the way this one turned out

I am pretty sure I used a layer cake to make this quilt
but am not sure of the name of the fabric line

my new favorite quilting design is straight lines
I just love the look and texture it gives to a quilt

I am having so much fun getting these tops quilted.

I hope you have a wonderful day!!

Quarter Triangle Quilt

This is another top that has been finished for awhile.

I quilted it with a simple panto in green thread to add some more color

and I used a hot pink/purple thread on the back to
make the quilting pattern show
(not sure I did the right thing)

Yea!! Another one finished.
I have about 4 more throw size and
two queen size to go
and am saving my very favorite for last

I hope you are having a fun weekend doing the things you like

Utopi Quilt

I love this Utopi fabric from Art Gallery and love the simple strip quilt I made with it

The colors are so bright and cheerful and the prints are so cute

I wanted to make it a little wider so
I just did two side borders
I like this look

and I just did straight line quilting
I love the way the straight lines look

I seem to be getting so much done lately
Some of these quilt tops have been finished
way too long

I hope you are having a fun day doing the things you enjoy doing

Minions Quilt

My grandson is crazy for Minions so I had to make him a quilt.

I bought the panel and thought I would do a simple border around it
with one of the fabrics in the minion line
but I happened upon this free pattern
and decided to make it.

the back is done in this cute minion print.

We have 8 grandchildren 3 boys 5 girls
ages 18 months - 17 years old.
When we have them over for the night we divide them
into two nights - girl's night, and boy's night.
Last time they stayed we had two days of going to see
the Minions at the Movie Theater.....
although I prefer characters that can talk, it wasn't
as bad as I thought it would be.
Everyone had a good time!

I hope you are having a good day!

Quarter Circle Quilt

I saw this quilt in a magazine and fell in love with it. I pulled out my computer right away and got started ordering the fabric.

I think my favorite thing is this bicycle fabric

It was very easy to make, you just applique circles onto a square
then you cut the square down the center horizontally and vertically and
then mix them up and sew 4 different ones back together.
Now all that is left to do is to sew a corner triangle onto each
corner of the block and sew the blocks together to make a quilt.

I used a solid grey fabric for the binding and the quilt back

and now I am ready to snuggle up in it!!

I hope you are having a fun week doing the things you enjoy

arrow quilt

My daughter wanted to make a baby quilt for a friend so I designed this quilt in EQ. Then it turned out she wanted to make a rag quilt.  Every time I went into EQ and saw this quilt pattern I wanted to make it.

so I did

I didn't have anyone to give it to so I gave it to
my daughter (she just opened a shop on Etsy)
and told her she could have it for her shop.
It looks just like I thought it would

I used my Sashiko to make some cute faux hand stitching
She has some really cute rag quilts for sale too.
I hope you are having some fun too!!
