Saints Quilt

I hope you had a nice Christmas!!
I know I did.
Lot's of family
and so much fun!!!
Here is a simple quilt I made for my brother-in-law
It really looks better in person
I used a very simple panto with gold thread
and I used the gold solid for the backing.
This quilt went together and quilted up so fast.
I hope you have the best year ever ahead of you!!
Stay safe!!

A King Quilt for Me

I made this colorful quilt for my bedroom
The best part is
I used mostly fabrics I already had on hand
(oops, I took this picture upside down)
It has made my bedroom so bright and cheery!
I am so happy with the way it turned out.

Three More

Last year I found a really cute fabric panel with doctors and nurses called Nurse Central. I added some fabric from my stash and made a quilt for my doctor.   I just love my doctor, She doesn't rush through visits and she really cares about her patients.
Anyhow, she loved it so much. This year when I went back for my checkup she asked to buy three just like the one I made for her.
And here they are -
I cut the panel apart, sewed a border around each
block and used white sashing
I used the same fabric for all three
quilts but arranged them just a little
I was so lucky, they had just reprinted the fabric
this panel has the cutest pictures
I quilted little hearts all over it (panto)
as usual I had so much fun making these quilts.
Sewing is SO much fun!!!

Christmas Package Quilt

this cute little quilt was made from a quilt kit from Connecting Threads

I really wanted to get this one finished before Christmas and
only needed to stitch down the applique and do the
quilting and with an eye infection (hard to see) I did this.
haha!! Not such a good job on the bow stitching
but it is for me so that is good enough.
the fabric is so cute
and so is the design
I like that it is not the traditional Christmas colors
I used a snowflake panto and like the way it turned out.
the quilting showed up so much better before it was
washed but i do love this look much better.
and I thought I'd introduce you to my little buddy
he likes to follow me around and see what I'm up to.
I went into a pet store to get some dog treats and
came out with this sweet little fellow.
I was only going to carry him around with
me while I shopped for my doggie goodies
But he was so darn sweet.
He came from the local humane society and
was born on March 11, the same day as my
hubby and granddaughter.
Gosh he is growing so fast!!

My Entry to the Festival

This is my first time to enter a quilt in Amy's Quilt Festival. I'm excited to be able to join in, Thanks Amy.

I was in a local fabric shop and came upon this V W Bug fabric and knew I had to make my sister a quilt with some. It is just so cute and she loves the little bugs.
I sewed this from a pattern I printed out from EQ.
It was my first attempt at paper piecing and I  have
to say I loved it. I will be doing more.
Here are the bugs. Aren't they just adorable?
and some bicycles
and some scooters.
I love this quilt.
When I started to print out my pattern there were four blocks.
I looked closely and thought I only needed one block x 4
so that is what I printed.
WRONG! If I would have printed the four
blocks all of my prints would have been facing the
right way (I think).
I still love this quilt and would like to snuggle up with it and
keep it for myself
but I know she will love it too.
The Quilt size is 59x72.
Paper Pieced and Quilted by me.
Go check out the rest of the quilts
Thanks for looking - Carol
